College Labor Studies Programs
The United Association for Labor Education (UALE) represents several hundred labor educators and labor education programs throughout the U.S. and in some other countries. George Meany Center (National Labor College)
Offers short-term training and full degree programs on labor-related topics, including union organizing and safety.
Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP)
We are an outreach program at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. We provide publications, training, and other assistance to labor, management, environmental groups, and the community. Our site includes a catalog of print publications, ordering information, some on-line factsheets and reports, and details of our training programs and other services.
Labor Occupational Safety and Health Program (LOSH)
A University of California program in Los Angeles. Provides publications, training, and other assistance on health and safety to labor, management, environmental groups, and the community.
Oregon Health and Science University, Center for Research on Occupational and Environmental Toxicology
Has links to over 1000 occupational safety and health resources, organized by occupation and industry. Includes ergonomics, safety, and more. Links are hand-selected and the emphasis is quality over quantity. Can be searched for Spanish-language materials or Oregon-specific information.
Worker Resource Centers in Northern and Southern California and the Central Valley
WOSHTEP Resource Centers have been established in Northern California at the Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) at UC Berkeley, in Southern California at the Labor Occupational Safety and Health (LOSH) Program at UCLA, and in the Central Valley at the Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety at UC Davis. The Centers support WOSH Specialists and trainers, and also assist small business owners and managers, youth leaders, and anyone needing information about or assistance with workplace health and safety issues.
