During the COVID-19 pandemic, many workers, unions, and community-based organizations have demanded better protections for workers’ health. Their actions have taken different forms and, in many cases, they have seen positive results.
LOHP collaborated with five worker organizations to create web-based stories that include videos describing some of the specific strategies they used, a timeline of key events, and relevant resources and links.
Check out this site to:
- Hear from the workers and organizations involved in efforts to protect workers in retail, fast food, food processing, agriculture, and restaurants.
- Learn about the range of options for resolving problems at work and tips for implementing specific strategies. While these stories focus on COVID-19, the strategies can be used to address other health and safety issues on the job.
- Find Resources for Taking Action – which include a variety of tip sheets and examples as well as links to worker-friendly resources on workers’ rights and COVID-19.
