We are offering a variety of free trainings for:

Workers – to raise awareness about COVID-19 prevention, their rights, resources, and ways to take action

Employers – to develop effective COVID-19 Prevention Programs that comply with the Cal/OSHA standards

Worker leaders and staff from worker and community organizations – to build capacity to address work-related COVID-19 hazards, conduct training, and provide support and referrals to workers.

These training programs are part of the COVID-19 Workplace Outreach Project organized and funded by the CA Labor and Workforce Development Agency. Check out our other COVID-19 materials and resources.

Upcoming Virtual Trainings:

Thank you for your interest in our trainings. At the moment, we are no longer offering trainings. However, we are currently working on creating and uploading an asynchronous training for you to take any time. Please check back soon for more details!

In the meantime, please take a look at the following video we have (English and Spanish):

The Labor Occupational Health Program at UC Berkeley prepared this short training video to describe highlights of the changes to the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards, which went into effect in mid-June.

Tenaya's workshop covered:
✅ underlying causes of injuries and illnesses, drawing collective lessons from workers own experiences
✅ how to identify the most protective health and safety bargaining demands.

IATSE members are the workers who #makethemagichappen 🪄 in television, the movies, theater, and trade shows. Participants included all IATSE crafts ranging from stage hands to makeup artists who are at risk from falls, chemicals, and infectious diseases.

Our young worker team is just back from an incredi Our young worker team is just back from an incredible weekend at UCLA where we co-hosted the Young Worker Leadership Academy with our close partners at @uclalosh. Teens from all over California along with youth and adult mentors joined us for a 3-day training on #workplacesafety, #workersrights, and responsibilities.

During the academy, participants designed community projects on young worker health and safety that they will now bring back to their local communities.

Thanks to our partners: UCLA LOSH, @ca_dir, State Compensation Insurance Fund SCIF and @irvinefdn 👏

Last week we were in Martinez, Calif. training Con Last week we were in Martinez, Calif. training Contra Costa County workers to take leadership roles in occupational health and safety. Workers came together from across divisions —from behavioral health to animal control to HR—to make their workplaces safer. Many were safety coordinators or members of their workplace health & safety committees.

The Worker Occupational Safety and Health (WOSH) Specialist Training is a statewide effort aimed at reducing job-related injuries and illnesses among California workers. We trained workers to be resources for their co-workers, identify workplace hazards, underlying causes of injuries and help to promote solutions and protect employees. #workplacesafety #workersafety #woshtep

Shout out to Contra Costa County Risk Management for hosting us.
